1---It’s an opportunity for “real talk/discussion” about the difficulties most all of us share in modern life with being as mindful, as often, as we’d like. It’s so, so easy to be “in our heads” regarding what did, or didn’t, happen and what may, or may not, happen, rather than simply experiencing “where we are right now." Our meetings are all about "being here now," of course—and sharing our successes and challenges in that quest : )
2---Jon Kabat Zinn's interview on CBS’s "60 Minutes” is below and well worth watching—it lasts about 25 minutes and gives a good overview!
3-Our meetings are such that whether or not you’ve had a chance to read the selection, you’ll still understand easily the concepts/experiences being discussed—it’s all very approachable and meaningful to our everyday lives : )
