Here’s just a little history. ShortTakes began early in 2016 and we have met each month at Joe and Pam’s house. We have shared many TED talks and similar presentations and many of us have gotten to know each other at a deeper level. This has also helped build a strong south Austin presence for CCV.
This coming Tuesday we will have a different discussion topic than the one announced in the newsletter due to illness. The Ted Talk on Sleep will be postponed for a later time. We will be listening to a Fresh Air interview with Mary Pipher. Her new book, “Women Rowing North” chronicles the positive aspects of transitioning from middle age to old age. I believe the interview will be interesting for men as well as women.
You can listen to this interview ahead of time if you like. However, we will listen to it at the beginning of our time together. It is 20 minutes long. Here is the link.
