Boquillas Canyon Painting ($300 value)

For the inveterate explorer, Big Bend National Park, a "wildly beautiful natural region," is a must-see destination. Located in "splendid isolation" in lower southwest Texas, it is also home to the MacDonald Observatory.

And Boquillas Canyon, the longest and deepest canyon in the park, with its gentle rapids, spectacular scenery and vistas rising as high as 2600 feet, provides a wilderness adventure not to be missed.  But if you can't take that journey anytime soon, allow Randy Goss' oil painting of Boquillas Canyon to virtually transport you to this adventurer's paradise.

Donated by the artist Randy Goss.
