October's lunch will feature CCV Member John Berry. He will bring a fascinating perspective on Northwest European history. The intriguing title of his talk is "A Skeptic's View of Northwest European History: Fish, Fuel, Forests and Foundries: Fear, Fighting and Fleeing".
His presentation will cover in-depth history and environmental change and will address why people migrated, invaded and scrapped over prime real estate across the centuries. John will include pictures of off-the-track Eastern England, Swedish Mining settlements of 17th century, the Isle of Man, and the Arnhem WWII battlefield.
