Syria and The Middle East - Discussion and Q&A
Geopolitics in Syria and the Middle East are notoriously complex. Join Capital City Village for a special program with guest speaker Joe Miguez for an overview of the factors and circumstances influencing politics and power shifts in the Middle East and how foreign policy will be affected.
Update from Joe: I’ve actually begun working with the Truman National Security Project on their Middle East & North Africa focus group for 2020, and between the insight I’ve gained from that work and my own knowledge and experience, I’m thinking of a presentation that identifies three or four hot issues I expect to be the focus of American foreign and national security policy over the next year or two, leading into the 2020 campaign, and provides a bird’s-eye view of some combo of the history, current status, and possible outcomes of those issues.
Limited space is available for this program. RSVP here to assure your spot.
Location: Terrace Room at Wildflower Terrace (3801 Berkman Dr.) at Mueller Community.
Joe Miguez is an attorney with McGuire Woods, Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and has over a decade of combined experience as an employment litigator and in-house employment law counsel. Before becoming an attorney, Joe served two tours in the US Army as a signals intelligence analyst and Arabic language specialist.
Program is free and open to the public. RSVP required.
