Celeb Salons is presented by Capital City Village and Mort Subite on Sunday, June 3rd, 4-6pm. Capital City Village is proud to present this new program series Celeb Salons: exclusive, up close gatherings with some of Austin's local notables, starting this spring. Dr. Stephen Enniss is Director of the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas at Austin. Following his 2013 appointment, he led the development of the institution's five-year strategic plan and building master plan in preparation for the next twenty years of collection and program growth. Major acquisitions during his tenure have included the archives of novelists Ian McEwan, Michael Ondaatje, and Nobel Laureates Kazuo Ishiguro and Gabriel García Márquez. Before coming to the Ransom Center, he held previous appointments at the Folger Shakespeare Library and at Emory University's Manuscript, Archives and Rare Book Library.

The Harry Ransom Center is an internationally renowned humanities research library and museum at The University of Texas at Austin. Its extensive collections provide unique insight into the creative process of writers and artists, deepening our understanding and appreciation of literature, photography, film, art, and the performing arts. Visitors engage with the Center's collections through research and study, exhibitions, publications, and a rich variety of program offerings including readings, talks, symposia, and film screenings.
